The next generation of Aakash tablet is going to be launched soon and lot many are confused about the difference in nomenclature between these devices, their availability in the retail market and their corresponding deliveries to the end customers, who have pre-booked it earlier.

"I want to clarify the difference in nomenclature between Aakash 2 and UbiSlate7+. We are not taking pre-bookings of Aakash 2. Aakash 2 is only supplied to the government and their delivery will start in May. We are taking pre-bookings for UbiSlate7+, deliveries of which will start imminently," Suneet Singh Tuli, president and CEO, DataWind told EFYTimes.
